I'm not sure if it's bad news for the Apple Box pair . . . When I arrived, a SCC was perched close to the gang-gang hollow. Then I noticed a pair of ggs resting on a branch not too far from the SCC. They were quiet and perched a little distance from each other, before moving closer and began allogrooming. I'm wondering if this pair is the nesting pair, chased out of their nest by aggressive SCCs? The only thing that gives me hope is that their beaks do not have the distinctive reddened colour that they had when I first noticed the nesting pair. Then I worry about Redbox . . .
