User's notes
The images show a Two-tailed spider in what is a typical ambush posture. The spider has settled into an indentation on the side of a tree, facing downwards. Its body is pressed into the indentation whilst its legs and silk trip lines radiate out from the indentation. This posture can be seen in the final image which is a side-on view. Any prey approaching the indentation from any direction may not see the spider hiding within it until it's too late. Indentations on the side of eucalypts are good locations to search for these spiders.
