User's notes
I've been watching this cocoon since last season. Today the butterfly emerged. I had to take it inside as I have a pair of Magpies that have a nest not far away and are always in my front yard. Sadly, the butterfly's wings never fully opened. I left it in what I hope is a pretty hidden area from the Magpies. I recently found two futher cocoons so will be watching them closely.
