Thanks Liam. I knew it wasn't a bird that I'd ever seen in my neighbourhood. When I saw it, it was making it's way along the edge of the laneway in the shadows. I remember thinking it was moving like an Australian Pipit. It turned around and started coming back towards me, hence the front on shot. Is it a juvenile? Why would it be so out of habitat?

Definitely an adult bird, though this is definitely abnormal behaviour. Can't think of why it'd turn up in the middle of suburbia! Perhaps just passing through?
