The Cootamundras have passed peak flower and will now develop fruits. Block 578 is leased land but not anymore used for stock grazing; the public is not permitted to enter; the land may be added to nature reserve in the future. Until this time, Cootamundra wattles have a free run, invading the adjacent nature reserve and keep volunteers busy.
