User's notes

Male and female inspected hollow used by Gang gangs last year. Some evidence of recently chewed wood on ground by entry to hollow. Male appeared young with incomplete red feathers on head. Female was repeatedly spreading wings then rubbing face and neck on side of tree opposite hollow.

Thanks Lisa - We had one male chick successfully fledge from this hollow last year - I suspect that the pair and young male have returned and that the young male will shortly go his own way. The spreading of wings - particularly if accompanied by a growling noise made by the Gang-gangs suggests that something else, probably a possum, is currently occupying the hollow.
