As I was photographing this Bunochilus (https://canberra.naturemapr.org/sightings/4688863), a fungus gnat tried to mate with the orchids labellum and triggered it. The fungus gnat ended up in the hood of the Bunochilus flower. The only way it could get out was to crawl up through to an opening at the top of the hood, allowing the orchid to deposit a pollinia package on its back as it crawls through.
