are there Alligator Weed problems around Canberra ? (Arcola malloi = Alligatorweed Stemborer)
maybe they are Faveria tritalis and it is just the angle. I am not sure.

I don't believe Alligator Weed is a problem in Canberra - although I stand to be corrected. A quick search on that common name did not see it listed in the ACT Weeds Manual. BOLD (Hobern) shows records for Brisbane, LBH says NSW but not the ACT. BOLD Systems 4 was offline when i searched. iNaturalist's AI suggests this is F. tritalis, other options not close IMO.

Alligator Weed has become a problem on teh shores of Lake Burley Griffin, but this record is a long way from there So I have Id it as Faveria
