Not easy to identify at this time of year, very few seed heads left, not showing the yellow colouration which was obvious November. Must have been grazed ... explains why not noticed in previous seasons when adjacent to serrated tussocks which were targets for control. Numbers of plants based on earlier November estimate.
PCS employed contractors will not spray any other of the evil grasses ( SVG, ALG, CNG) even if growing just cm-s apart when they are contracted to control ST. FoMM volunteers were only made aware of the evil character of SVG recently ie since ONC joined in. I certainly noted the grass before without knowing what it is and there are so many others to tackle....
