User's notes

Under the canopy of a group of Native Cherry (Exocarpos cupressiformis). This is one of FoMM's experimental sites to reduce Cleavers and other nutrient loving exotic herbs under Native Cherry trees by spraying with selective herbicide or hand weeding or a combination of both. Some sites were also planted / direct seeded with Weeping grass. This site had large amounts of Cleavers and Blackberry Nightshade which was repeatedly hand- weeded since 2022; some Weeping grass was planted and some Weeping grass seeds direct seeded; the Weeping grass is visible in the background of the second photograph. I suggest to follow up now with spraying the dense patches of Blackberry Nightshade with selective herbicide which won't affect the Weeping grass. Previously sites treated by spraying only or a combination of hand weeding and spraying are more or less "clean" with some scattered target weeds here and there.
