This was a heart-stopping sighting, just after some rain. The female checked out a new puddle of water, and flew down to share the drinking rights with a galah (male watched on from a tree). Only problem was - the puddle was right on the edge of a major road, and both birds were close to the bitumen. (I went back early the next morning with a spade, to fill it in, but the water had been absorbed back into the ground by then)
