The feathers are the remains of a newly predated (no flies, no smell) White Ibis carcass I saw about 5 days prior to taking these photos. At the time the long black beak was evident as well as the black lower patch of feathers and most of the torso, Only feathers remaining when I returned but have also included a shot of a burrow or den entrance 2 metres awaythat looked fresh and well kept, wondering if a fox could possibly be resident there.
