Are you able to follow the progress of this specimen? The name you have chosen is actually just a synonym of Fuligo septica. As this ages it will probably change colour and the only way to be sure of identification is with microscopy examination of the spores. After searching eumycetozoa.com and looking through Stephensons papers it appears that the var. rosea has not been recorded in Australia previously so this could be a very interesting find. Great images showing the spongy hypothalus extending beyond the main sporocarp.
If the forecast (heavy) rain arrives, the specimen will probably disintegrate before I can return.
In iNaturalist there are 5 Australian records of Fuligo septica rosea in addition to mine which I have just uploaded - 1 ACT, 1 NSW & 3 Vic. (The other 7 records in iNaturalist are from USA.)
I'm aware of colour change in Fuligo septica, from bright yellow to a dull tan, having observed many specimens in northern NSW in recent years. But I've not seen this rose colour.

Have you read Stephenson's book 'Secretive Slime Moulds'? He states that the plasmodium of F. septica can be red, pale to bright pink, yellow or orange-yellow. Quite a deceptive genus.
