Found scuttling across the floor in a great hurry so hard to get a good focus. The mid body section in real life is more vivid red than the photos show, similar to Thyreocephalus australis (https://tasmanianinsectfieldguide.com/hexapoda/insectsoftasmaniacoleoptera/insectsoftasmaniacoleoptera-suborder-polyphaga/superfamily-staphlinoidea/staphylinidae-rove-beetles/subfamily-staphylininae/genus-thyreocephalus/thyreocephalus-australis/ .
