I have never noticed a mayfly with these conical structures above each of its eyes. No luck so far finding anything like it. Does anyone know of a mayfly expert as I don't know of any. Also, probably the smallest mayfly I have ever found - body length about 7 or 8mm

Yes, from what I have discovered, it is only males that have the turbinate eyes
