I had to look this up to discover that it’s a little eastern Australian spider that likes to sit on leaves and that apparently the males are elusive and difficult to photograph. I thought it was perhaps a piece of rolled up tree resin or a piece of slowly setting igneous rock but I can now see the rows of eyes. Amazing is overused but very appropriate for this strange little creature. Thank you.
