2 visible, opposite sides of small yard. One bigger than the other. One living on erymophilia, one on bamboo and forest pansy. Prominent curled abdomen. Black colour, fast-moving, eating lacewing eggs and ignoring mealy bugs. Territorial. Not seen in previous years

No evidence to suggest it’s a purple winged mantid. Behaviour is not calm. Very fast moving. Colour is black.
