I can and do confirm this identification here, based on nuanced foliage features,
with over thirty years first hand close up experiences with this grass species alien;
including over many years, hand weeding it out of bushlands in Vic. incl. Melb. region and NSW,
and out of crops in our family farm in Noorinbee North (far east Vic) .
