Significant sighting

This sighting appears to be the first ever verified sighting of this species in the ACT, and indeed anywhere near the ACT

User's notes

This sighting appears to be the first ever verified sighting of this species in the ACT, and indeed anywhere near the ACT. It was still present the next day, and seen by quite a few bird watchers, but proved more elusive on the 15th. Very happy to have seen this lovely little bird. (The collar not meeting at the back of the neck indicates that this is a female).

Thanks so much RodDeb, it was an unexpected and delightful surprise :). And you seem to be the only ones who managed to record it calling! Well done you! (I didn't hear it call).

What a great find Christine, a shame I was out of town at the time. A very significant sighting indeed.

Thanks Shorty, sorry you didn't get back in time to see it. Maybe it will pop up again?
Thanks Michael.
