tree with strange cork like branches with protrusions on the branches that look like plough shares. located along the track leading to Sherwood homestead site. a few green buds about to show.. sorry about the poor description.

Leaves on ground make me think that this is a particualrly corky Liquidamber straciflua - did you notice any old spiky balls on the ground?
