It could be, I hadn't noticed before. It looks like a red band on the left leg and a grey band on the right leg.

I know people were studying the movements of the Little Eagle, so perhaps this was a bird involved in that? I remember reading news articles of long journeys across Australia of this impressive true eagle.

This is V4, one of the birds tagged as part of the Little Eagle project. Stuart Rae tried to read the band and couldn't but you can see the tracker aerial in the first photo. Thanks for uploading.
