We have lost a friend. So so sad.
This boobook has been roosting in a large hollow branch for the last month - it's been there most days, and we enjoyed checking every morning.
Found it dead on the ground this morning - we suspect it died yesterday.
I guess rat poison is the most likely culprit :(
I can retrieve it if anyone wants to follow up cause of death.
