User's notes

Unsure what these were. They were sighted growing deep inside a decaying tree trunk and were difficult to access, without risking a divorce..... White furry upper surface, orange to yellow coloured spores evident in the images.

This appears to be Pseudomerulius (used to be Meiorganum) curtsii. Not on species list so appears to be the first record in the region - well done. Great image of this distinctive fungus.

I was oscillating between Pseudomerulius curtisii and a very immature Tapinella panuoides.

Hard one! Both have yellow brown spores. Though with the Tapinella panuoides I've seen there has been evidence of lilac colour at the base of fungus and mycelium and they've been a bit more elongated in form even when young. Good to have a look at the species when a bit more mature as long as not resulting in divorce!!;)
