@Hejor1 Hi Heather, I think this will be a moth. Beetle larvae aren't hairy (to my knowledge).

Dermestid beetle larvae are hairy. They feed on dry decomposing vertebrate and invertebrate animal material. A few species will feed on woollen carpets, hence the name 'Carpet beetle'. Many more feed on insect and spider remains, probably what the one in this sighting was doing.
