Great find Lola up to 150 small praying mantis may hatch from this egg case. However there is also a wasp that lays its eggs into the mantis egg case. the wasp eggs hatch quickly and the wasp grubs (think caterpillars and butterflies) eat the Mantis eggs. You can see the female wasp laying her eggs on a mantis case at Podagrionini (tribe)
