User's notes

The inflorescences are short and squat - twice the diameter and half the length compared to S. parviflora. Also these green inflors have conspicuously coloured groups of bristles with each floret, each group however is pale at its base - my second pic. These plants have fibrous roots, likely to be annual, and are growing in mown area.
