Collar K4 and Collar (?)2 - females treated with a fertility control drug, both now looking quite old.

Collar A2 with green tag 100 in right ear seems to get recorded quite frequently ...

I just looked up some old notes. Both were capture darted and treated with a fertility control drug (Gonacon) in October 2015, they year before I retired. Claire Wimpenny, who is running the project, reminded me today that K4 had suffered such a rough recovery from the capture anaesthetic that one of our colleagues had bet the two of us that K4 would not survive long. K4 was one of a group we had darted with a more expensive and complicated drug mix claimed by some vets to result in smoother induction and recovery. A2 was in the 'experimental control' group darted with the standard drug. From the small trial we agreed induction was much faster and smoother with the recommended drug mix but recovery was horrible and even dangerous. We stopped the trial. Anyway, after 8 years, it seems time to collect on the bet.
