I received a New Confirmation message that oweh has confirmed Shouldered Brown species (?).

Mouse was accidentally clicked while viewing the sighting last evening. Confirmation was subsequently immediately undone.

Well you could suggest another species 😉
I pondered spotted brown for a while !!

That was my intention after I had the chance to take a better look. From what can be seen in the image I personally think H. paradelpha due, in part, to the three full size eyespots on the hw underside and the apparent rounded and crenulated hw termen. The large spot on the fw underside is interesting though. Have requested Suzi take a look.

Agree with Owen on this one. The features for paradelpha are convincing despite the forewing spot appearing more like penelope - this may just the the angle of the photograph though.

Thank you Owen and Suzi. It flushed up from track high into canopy only offering limited photo options.
