When photographing galls it is useful to include an image showing the opening of the gall. Also, do you know the host plant id? Some gall-inducing insects are host-specific so knowing the host plant species can sometimes help with a more definitive id.
I suspect this is *Apiomorpha ovicola* but would need a species-level host plant id to confirm.
