Absolutely - yet to the naked eye, this wasp was just another transparent flying dot, until it landed on a thin stem. There, the macro lens disclosed an unexpected treasure. I'm discovering that this insect world is a universe of wonders!

Yes a remarkable close up of a common gall forming wasp whose host is Asteraceae flowers. (Torymidae: Megastigminae)
