Hi galah618, this is likely to be an Iridomyrmex but I can't really see enough in this photo. Cheers, Jon

That's OK. I was actually trying to photograph an Australian painted lady butterfly, but it had gone by the time I clicked the shutter and I just happened to see the ant in the photo.
