I am not aware that Cossid moths, particularly, turn up their abdomens in this manner, but many moth species can do this, I suggest. Your photos appear to be of a very dark, almost chocolate brown moth (not grey). Is that a feature of the photograhy in this case? If the moth is actually uniformly grey as you suggest that would suggest E. nubila, but E. aconteucha (with a similar V mark) is another possibility. However, I have not found a good match for your specimen online. I can''t really see any fine detail which would suggest to me its either E. nubila or E. aconteucha.
