Not sure why it is on a daisy - usually only found on Rutaceae, particularly citrus

There is no Daisy there. I thought it was on the citrus though I admit the leaf looks suspicious. If not citrus, which is adjacent, then it is on the native Abutilon. But 90% of the vegetation at that spot is a large lemon tree.
