@Hejor1 Sorry Heather. Nothing like P. fastidosa. It's familiar to me but perhaps from anothr region.

@AlisonMilton another stab in the dark, Paropsis variolosa? This sighting has those shadowy spots like aromaria though which I couldn't see of variolosa.

@Hejor1 Hi Heather, I did consider that but could not be sure so decided to leave this one for someone more experienced than I.

This is a pale form of this (usually) banded beetle. It appears favour this form to minic Paropsisterna fastidiosa.
