Could this be Boulenger's skink, Morethia boulengeri? The location would have helped.

This is a very useful record, well done. Tree skinks have been observed at Ginninderra Falls (in NSW) just upstream from the Murrumbidgee R, but as far as I am aware there are no other records from the Canberra to Yass region. The nearest records are from further west around Gundagai, Wagga Wagga etc.
