The brown tussocks do look rather different. I think this a species that noone has reared and published. Did you take it into protective custody for rearing?

@donhe I'm afraid not, as it was in a Park and I'm going overseas for two weeks tomorrow!

In UK the caterpillar of every month species is known. In Australia only 7% of moth species have known caterpillars.
