Yes, Ian. Definitely the same moth. In sight at all times and mostly at arm's length. It was hectic photography - bad light and some breeze - and as the moth showed signs of wanting to move... which it did before I could get satisfactory images. The fourth photo is in quite different light which might explain the different 'look'. BTW, if you look at image 3 you can see part of what looks like a ball shape under the tail. This was sort of more evident in flight.
