Similar size to European bee. I saw a similar sized bee a couple of km away, with light markings on its thorax, and a black abdomen like this one, and pollen gathered on its hind legs like this. (that bee flew off as I struggled to focus the camera)

Black bees like this can be difficult to identify. I have chosen to call it Leioproctus because most of the pollen is on the lower leg. Lasioglossum carry quite a lot of their pollen on the upper leg as well.
