Informed this was Cassinia uncata

Any reason why? This plant doesn't look awfully like C.uncata, which isn't a local species.

The person who said so knows lots about plants and I was just going on what they said, had not heard of C. uncata around here before either and have enough difficulty myself telling C. quinquefaria from C. aculeata
