I think this is a slime mould?

Thanks for taking the time to have a look at this Teresa. I do love looking closely at this stuff. Is it a fungus because of the things that stick out like hairs?

Hi @AJB the 'hairy' bits are the left overs of the surrounding 'bubbles' after spore dispersal. This is quite common on earth and low vegetation after heavy dew or light rain during moderate temperate times. Something commonly mistaken for a myxomycetes. Usually found beneath low shrubs in wooded areas.
Ceratiomyxa fruticulosa also produces very tiny columns with a single spore on each end, although this feature is only visible with the aid of high magnification. Searching for these critters reveals so much about biodiversity and their existence for so many millennia.
