I've seen a couple of A. decora before, and I personally think they have longer thinner leaves than this. Could possibly be a slightly unusual A. buxifolia subsp. buxifolia, though given your experience and comparing with other images it seems to be a good fit for A. buxifolia subsp. pubiflora, though I'm not sure how widespread that would be planted or naturalised locally.

Agree its A.buxifolia, if planted then probably not worth making a guess at subsp. We don't seem to have just the species in taxonomy?

Yes I think it got merged by one of the Michaels into A. buxifolia subsp. buxifolia during the earlier days since its the only local subsp. But would be useful now.

The local form on Black Mountain is quite different to this much taller growing one that has been planted at Urambi Hills NR.
