Could you catch a few, see if females will lay eggs, get larvae, photograph those?

I could try Don, maybe next summer if they turn up again. But how do you keep them alive?

Adult moths just need nectar, maybe a fresh dandelion each day. The caterpillars might eat Asteraceae leaves, although some Glyphipterix larvae eat seeds. A clean glass bottle with a piece of fabric over the top held by an elastic band is all you need
