L Costermans (1994) Native Trees and Shrubs of South-Eastern Australia: sparsely hairy to glabrous phyllode. Otherwise features such as phyllode with one central vein to point and peduncles solitary or several on very short common stalks seem to confirm the id. Distribution according to Costermans South Australia; not Southern Tableland / ACT ie not a local. It is not listed on the ACT Census of Vascular Plants, and a new description for Mt Majura. I propose to collect a sample to confirm the id by a botanist and for the herbarium.

This has already been done last spring when Max found it! Isobel took samples - she did the id. See the earlier sighting. Barb

Thanks Barb, that escaped me. I didn't follow through with the identification because I was very sick around that time
I noted Greg Baine's record from Federal Highway from the 18 October 2022. I think this Acacia species was part of the Fed highway plantings and is possibly not a local species. Need to discuss this with Greg and other botanists. w

No this acacia is not local.

Thanks, C, I thought so after doing a bit of research. Can CNM remove it from the list of local species?

Isobel was of the opinion that it could have found its own way there, so that is why it was left there last spring.
