Invasive plant banned in parts of the USA. In some states people can get a free tree for cutting down their Callery pears.

I was reading an article the other day about some Tasmanian place that grows them for rootstock to use commercially, which is not very good.

Do you think this was planted deliberately, or sown by seed dispersal, or grown from a sucker?

What environment was it growing in?

Did it have fruits or was it sprouting at its base or from its roots?

Seed dispersal, disturbed area, no fruit or suckers, separate plant. Possible garden waste.
