User's notes

Prey item of dragonfly. Best guess re damselfly is a Red & Blue Damsel, although CNM records indicates occurs at lower altitude i.e. <=870m. Had considered Orange Threadtail though although markings on what's left of the thorax and altitude records also not quite right. Possibly a female of the Common Bluetail which has records above 1000m?

Hi Harvey,
Are you saying the insect prey of the Blue-spotted Hawker is another much smaller Blue-spotted Hawker?

Sorry - you didn't mention the half-demolished prey item as being the subject. The prey is certainly a damselfly, but there's not enough detail for me to say what it is - all of your suggestions are not unreasonable, but I can't confirm or deny...

Thanks Harvey. Have edited sighting ID and notes. Changed it to unidentified damselfly. Can you modify your ID accordingly?

Can someone change ID from the dragonfly to the prey insect - a damselfly Coenagrionidae sp. (family) thanks?
