I found this caterpillar on a yellow flower on the 9th Dec out in the bush. I bought it home and put the flower in a vase with some other flowers. After a couple of days I had lost track of where the cocoon was. I rediscovered it on the 25th December hanging from a thread on the side board that had the vase. When I came home last night (28th December), I noticed this moth sitting on the cocoon, that it had just emerged from.

Sorry, I didn't actually get a photo of it on the flower. It didn't really emerge enough out of its cocoon to get a decent shot.

Photos of its case and cocoon would be useful. Photos of the larva of case moths require great patience and are not often obtained
