Definitely not brown or black falcon. Way too small/slim for either species. Also see pale underside.

Also by Canberra chatline do you mean the COG one? The COG one is not extremely reliable and i have frequently seen incorrect IDs suggested.

Would be astounded if this was identified by anyone on the COG chatline as anything other than a Nankeen Kestrel.
