Hopefully enough detail to identify which species of ant, a few with wings in 3rd and 5th photos

Matthew, it is difficult to get an idea of the size, they look so small. How do they compare in size to (Shining) Coconut Ants?

Yes, these ants were smaller than Shining Coconut Ants.

Hi Matthew, thanks for trying to get these photos, but I can't tell what sort of ant it is, sorry. It's not unusual for an ant colony to die out (especially during very persistent cold wet weather or drought), leaving a space for another ant to take over. Cheers, Jon

Thanks Jon, if time permits I will revisit this colony and see if I can get better photos that can hopefully determine their identity.
