This one had me stumped because of the leaf. However, there is a Microlaena in the main photo and I'm pretty sure that where the leaf photo came from.
Otherwise, its a cool-season annual, one-sided panicle, with many awned florets per spikelet, lower glume about 50% of upper and lemmas quite fat

Thanks, Grassman. The leaf could well be from the Microlaena. I just pulled a handful of the grass out and photographed it. I'll delete that photo to avoid confusing other users.
