Returned from 2 weeks away to find new occupants at Baldy's Hollow 2. Both entered the hollow and construction sounds were heard at one point. No sign of Baldy so far, but early days. Could one of these new birds possibly be offspring from a previous year that the parents have been helping out?
Also Cath if this pair nests here this will be the second hollow used by different pairs (that we know about) as rose (who has a pink beauty spot) and her husband from the Track Hollow last year are in the Section66 hollow this year
Hi Michael. It's not last year's hollow. It's the first of the two they prepared this year. The Baldys were using it 3 weeks ago when I had last visited them. But there was a changeover during the time I was away and I have no idea of the circumstances. Baldy was seen today by my contact that he visits, so he's still around and still bald.
